What does this course involve?

This course is designed to reflect the role of individuals who perform a range of everyday administrative tasks in a defined context, working under direct supervision.

This course contains 12 units of competency.  One unit is core, eleven units are elective units.

To obtain Certificate II in Business you must successfully complete all 12 units.

What are the entry requirements for this course?

Students must be employed in an administrative or office position and/or have direct access to office/administration resources and equipment in order to undertake training in the Certificate II in Business with Brite Institute.

You will also need to successfully complete a pre-training review.

If undertaking this course as a trainee you will need to be working a minimum of 13 hours per week

This training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding (eligibility criteria apply) or through Fee-for-Service arrangements.

Once you have completed your certificate you may wish to consider Certificate III in Business Administration or a range of other Certificate III qualifications in the Business Services Training Package.

How long is the course?

Certificate II in Business usually takes from 6-12 months to complete and is delivered via a workplace-based training model.

Will my previous experience or study count?

Yes, Brite Institute mutually recognises qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by other RTOs.  This means you will be granted Credit Transfer (CT) for units from this certificate that have been successfully achieved through another RTO.  You will also have the opportunity to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).  This takes into account the knowledge and skills you have already gained through previous education, formal or informal training, paid or unpaid work.

What will the course cost?

The following table is based on a sample training plan of 355 scheduled hours.  Fees are indicative only.
Fee total includes a capped amenities fee of $70.00.  Non-concession tuition fee has been capped at $200.00
