What does this course involve?

Certificate I in Process Manufacturing is a suitable course for people who are new entrants to the manufacturing industry and are employed in production assistant roles.

This course will assist students to develop skills that are relevant to the workplace. In addition to learning how to use equipment and work safely in a factory/production environment, you will also develop skills and knowledge that will support improved communication within the workplace and teamwork.

This course contains 7 units of competency.  Three units are core, four units are elective units.

To obtain Certificate I in Process Manufacturing you must successfully complete all 7 units.

What are the entry requirements for this course?

This course has no pre-requisites, but to undertake this course at Brite Institute you will need to successfully complete a pre-training review and be currently working in the industry in an appropriate job role.

If undertaking this course as a trainee you will need to be working a minimum of 13 hours per week

Will my previous experience or study count?

Yes, Brite Institute mutually recognises qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by other RTOs.  This means you will be granted Credit Transfer (CT) for units from this certificate that have been successfully achieved through another RTO.  You will also have the opportunity to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).  This takes into account the knowledge and skills you have already gained through previous education, formal or informal training, paid or unpaid work.

The following table is based on a sample training plan of 150 scheduled hours.
Fees are indicative only.  Fee total includes amenities fee calculated at $0.20 per enrolled hour = $30.00.  Non-concession tuition fee has been capped at $200.00.
